Pros
The only pro at this company is the high pay. But even employees who were being paid as much as $25k above market left the company because leadership is so bad and toxic - I quit even though I was making more than I would elsewhere.
Cons
They demand employees be at their Manhattan office 5 days per week with no vaccine mandate despite every competitor offering remote work. Work/life balance is terrible, and the CEO will frequently send Slack messages past 11pm. There is no vision or direction for the website other than whatever the CEO decides he wants to read that week, and a misguided obsession with clicks that leads to unethical decision making. Upper management is horrendous and cruel. You will often receive confusing or contradictory directions. The CEO of the company berates employees, goes on rants about being a "winner" and threatens employees' jobs. He has surrounded himself with yes-men and problems at the company are recurring. Turnover is incredibly high - in the time I worked there, a large number of employees left and they had not been able to hire back even half of what was lost. I would not recommend this company to anyone looking to advance their career in media, or to anyone who cares about their mental health.
