Pros

Many people who work here are great human beings who do their jobs well. Compensation and benefits are decent. Work schedule flexibility. If you're a developer, you will probably have a better experience than you would in other departments.

Cons

Abysmal communication, management, and structure within the Marketing, Sales, and Customer Success Department. Erratic and preposterous decisions are constantly being made and obvious solutions to problems are overlooked. Terminations are handled coldly and unprofessionally. Such as over the phone instead of in person. What's worse is, the real reason a lot of people are let go is that a certain manager butts heads with or feels threatened by other employees, so he points towards "performance" as a reason to justify the termination. Despite the fact that this manager has recently given a raise to the employee he has terminated. In some cases, this manager finds legitimate problems that effectively mask his true intentions. In other cases, he isn't able to do so and it's clear to everyone besides the CEO that he is only firing people to protect himself. Feedback is requested but employees are reluctant to provide it due to the fact that management is defensive, easily threatened, and doesn't act upon it anyway. Low PTO. Multiple service outages occurred in the past which had affected numerous customers and their businesses which made everyone worried about the future of the company. TherapyNotes is falling behind its main competitors in terms of software functionality. It is apparent that management has become increasingly concerned with saving money and less concerned with the work environment. The CEO is often tactless and disrespectful when speaking with employees and even with clients publicly. The Customer Success team is underappreciated despite the fact that they are responsible for the company's most prominent value proposition.

We haven't needed to let someone go in the departments this reviewer mentioned in quite some time, so it must have been a while since they were on the team. The leader mentioned helped turn our sales/support/marketing around, and recommended a couple terminations that were long overdue. Terminations are carefully considered, and an unfortunate part of business operations. It's not unexpected although unfortunate for them to write reviews like this. The Sales, Support, and Marketing teams are very happy, extremely efficient, and are awesome to work with. The output from the Marketing team is amazing, such as our awesome Youtube channel and the efficient online marketing campaigns. We get nonstop positive feedback from our customers regarding the awesome support they receive from our amazing support team. Our sales have been going up steadily thanks to the work of our awesome Sales team. We haven't had a significant service interruption in a long time, but they are always regrettable. We are constantly making major investments in IT, such as our recent migration to a whole new database platform. Our IT team rocks! "The CEO is often tactless and disrespectful" - Only around 12:15, and I haven't had lunch yet. I get really hangry. :) Seriously though, I apologize to this reviewer if I was disrespectful. I wish I had more information so I could learn from this. Reviewer, feel free to email me directly. I wish the best of luck to the person who wrote the review, and truly wish him well.

Pros

I’ve had a very positive experience working here. Management makes employees feel valued and appreciated, which has stood out to me compared to other companies I’ve worked for. The company also offers an excellent work-life balance, and the pay is decent. Overall, it is a rewarding and supportive place to work.

Cons

No major cons from my experience. There can be occasional busy periods, but the overall work environment and support from management have been positive.

Pros

Great team culture which encourages closely working together and those with more experience teaching and helping new hires. Great healthcare, dental, and 401k benefits Good opportunities for long term careers Work from home allows for flexible schedules and less time and money spent on driving and gas. Teams always open for feedback on how to improve Fun team building exercises which make you feel like part of a family and not just a working team.

Cons

Quickly expanding company means growing pains, shifts to SoA, new hires, refactoring into Angular and simultaneous development of new features can lead to quickly out of date documentation and unexpected issues which block work items.
