Pros
*Pay is good for expected work. *Expected work is easy & slow paced (usually due to lack of work) *If you can manage to get yourself off the Production floor and into a non-value added position, you will then be considered a value to the company *For the msot part, the people, as individuals, are truly good people
Cons
*Unless you work in an office, management (overall) will have absolutely no respect for you whatsoever and ultimately view you as having no real value. *The constant patronization from Management and dept. heads is off the charts and disheartening *Your ideas / innovations WILL get stolen or outright ignored a little too frequently *Management is incapable of improvement since they refuse to acknowledge the production floor as having value. Which is also why they fire and hire Mangers / Supervisors more often than you probably change socks. That's the only 'go-to' solution they know *Serious concerns such as Product Traceability are not important since, and this is a direct quote from multiple non-production dept. heads "The odds of us getting caught are small, so it doesn't matter'. *The fact that Management is constantly stressing the importance of Quality, but the Quality dept. heads are constantly 'buying off' parts sometimes days before the parts are even started is a bit disheartening *If you are a production worker, you will be blamed for nearly all defects and issues within the company, all the while hearing constantly that 'they' need you to step up and help address / fix these issues because you are the expert, while simulataneiously being told and shown you need to keep your mouth shut and your head down and let the smart people handle things is disheartening *If your Supervisors cannot find any work for you, it is your fault for not trying hard enough. If you do try to help find work, you will be labeled as argumentative or disruptive. *Supervisors lie and do low spectrum mediocre work. This is also your fault. *The system used ot track time and material is faulty and will randomly discard or duplicate entries. This finding was ignored and never fixed. Instead management decided to double down and create various metrics that held employees responsible for those errors they have absolutely no control over and most of the time are not even aware of until they get 'talked to'. This way they can point fingers of blame *Hearing Customer Accounts Managers walking the halls complaining about all the illegal things that occur there is disheartening *Seeing the high level of fear(?) in your cowarkers at the thought of expressing, to bosses, their thoughts and concerns they will spend 30+ minutes in the hallway discussing with each other is disheartening.
