Pros
Wonderful, home like work enviornment. People work as a team supporting one another. A privately owned bank where management is appreciative of staff. A small family owned owned business. No prima-donnas.
Cons
One of the best reasons is also a downside. Federal regulations caused by larger banking institutions and investment banking houses are dumped onto small banks causing unnecessary costs. Should all people receive a speeding ticket because a few speeder violators receive a ticket? No! Then why should small, community banks be under the same penalties as the violating banks?
