Cons
The CEO is a toxic leader whose yearly bonus is higher than 90% of the staff's annual salary. As a non-profit, the 990s are all public. Also worth noting is that the staff are regularly given paltry 2-4% salary increases because "the company is a non-profit and cash-poor", yet the CEO gave himself a $201,546.00 raise between 2021 and 2022. Embracing the "you are lucky to have a job" mentality, mastering the art of micromanagement and rampant wasting of company money, resources, and time, the CEO is openly disliked by the staff, even more since he moved to Florida yet makes the staff be in the office weekly, even with no working air conditioning during hot, New York summers. He has had a revolving door of assistants for as far back as many can remember, and it is for good reason. His EAs are treated poorly, overworked, underpaid, demeaned, and treated like garbage. Sadly, this is not an exaggeration. With meetings now being recorded and summarized by AI, there are several instances of the CEO badmouthing his EA before everyone joins the meeting, and EVERYONE knows it moments after the meeting ends as a summary and full recording of the meeting is emailed to the staff. Unfortunately, Glass Door stopped showing the CEO ratings as part of a company's profile, because when it did, the One Club's CEO had a ZERO percent rating. Let that sink in. ZERO percent. Scroll through the reviews left here and you'll see a very common theme. Great cause, amazing co-workers, terrible CEO. Run, don't walk, from any job listing from this company.
