Compensation and benefits were very low for the time, passion and energy put into the job. I spent many late evenings and weekends working, but never got anything in return.
During my time there, there was a very high turnover within leadership, meaning processes, managing styles and expectations changed frequently. It was also apparent that those in leadership were inexperienced for the roles they were in.
I unfortunately often felt taken for granted and felt I was having to prove my worth, even 18 months into working there.
I received very negative feedback about my work constantly, leaving me feeling very unmotivated and unconfident in my abilities.
Due to everything, I felt no other option than to leave (despite having no new job lined up), as it had taken such a toll on my mental health. It’s truly a shame as the founders are both great people and want the best, but poor management and leadership left me no choice.
