Pros
Incredible culture of collaboration and support Solid foundation in data analytics (especially as it relates to data visualization) Decent exposure to a handful of industries (non-profit, real estate, finance, etc.) Extremely friendly coworkers and core team Respect for individual personality (people can be themselves and not be forced into some kind of mold) No demands for over-working Lots of independence to grow and explore (and network within the wider company) It was always so wonderful to see how much DSers helped each other through projects (both during and out of client-related work) The company embodies and really prioritizes continuous learning and development (paying for learning platforms, certifications, etc.)
Cons
Bench can be a little long (more efforts can be made to expand offerings for TIL+ / SIBs) A bit over-reliant on Tableau/Alteryx (although it's good to see that PowerBI / dbt seem to be growing) Training ideally should include some foundational exposure to key industries (healthcare, finance, etc.) at least in terms of key terms, key technologies, exposure to industry specific ERPs/CRMs (this would help in sourcing prospective clients + obtaining more testimonials + showcasing appealing case studies) I think the company seems to lean a bit too much into the "data designer/data storyteller" (Tableau Visionary, VoTD, etc.) kind of appeal -- it makes for great marketing but this kind of appeal may not necessarily capture the full breadth of data work. It may not necessarily resonate or "impress" prospective clients who, instead, might be more concerned with scalable data solutions and topics like data engineering, data governance or even "conversational" BI.
