Pros
Really respect the Idea Village's mission. Broad experience across the foundation - marketing, development, operations, entrepreneur support. I would say I learned a decent amount, when I was working. And on the whole it was fun environment to work in - friendly people, open office.
Cons
4 interns trying to do the work of one. Lots of times, I couldn't find anything to do. This made it easy, which was nice, and relatively laid back, but not in a great way. Because it's a nonprofit, and because of the laid-back nature of the internship, I guess it's hard to complain about pay, but it was frustrating to not even be reimbursed for lunch or parking.
