Pros
If you have an eye for decorating, design, staging, and enjoy consultative sales/people interaction WITHOUT pressure or individual sales quotas, you’ll love working here! More Pro’s include physical activity (a lot! You’ll need to move pieces around the store & stage. We do have assistance for large items) which is SOOO great IF you prefer over sitting/standing in front of a computer all day. (18,000 sq feet!) Ownership of projects, creative freedom an opportunity to learn the ins & outs of furniture pieces / accessories. You’ll get to do previews of items brought by the center to determine if we have a marker for and if so, put together a contract and, pricing. Relaxed dress code, music and great hours if you don’t want the typical 7-7 thang! (10-6 or 7 & only 5 hours on Sunday. ) You will get two days in a row off & likely get to pick those days. After 60, you’re offered quality benefits. You WILL not make a lot of money here so you need to do for the love of the job & supplement with a second income contribution source. Bonus offered based on the sales success of the entire team. Nice people but you must carry your weight, hit the ground running and be an unbelievable multitasker!
Cons
Low pay. Can be too physically demanding on occasion IF you’re injured or just plain tired. Extreme multi tasking & train on the go. Some office politics but if you stay out & are hardworking & polite you’ll be fine. Cameras are always watching & stream to the corporate CA office. This may bother some.
