Pros
You will meet the most amazing people who are trying to turn their lives around, they will inspire you and steal your heart. Your co-workers will be hardworking, smart, and some of the kindest people you will ever meet. You will have the opportunity to gain experience and take on a lot of responsibility if you are self-motivated. You will learn more than you ever thought possible about how to run, and more importantly how not to run a business.
Cons
The leaders are much more worried about how the outside world will perceive them then they are about the actual well-being of this company and the employees who work there. The president and CEO were very uninvolved for years, mostly just showing up when they had friends stopping by, and now that this is somewhat changing it is likely too late. Leadership will hire their friends and let them run the company into the ground while paying them double what they pay all of their other employees. The turnover is insane - people come and go rapidly both through being let go and leaving of their own accord (I saw full turnover in my time at the company), and positions are rarely replaced.
