Pros

A learning experience: You'll learn to avoid this place whether as work or as a potential customer!

Cons

The Cocktail Club Old Street: From the moment one arrives at this place, the grotty looking entrance way, dusty doors, dirty stairs, faded lighting, lead to a world of underground disappointment, a poor run-down establishment at best. The Cocktail Club - Old Street, under ownership of NightCap Plc, sadly is a shadow of the business it once was, when it was the London Cocktail Club ( LCC a company originally founded in 2008 ). Lack of management, from slow service, to (what appear to be) intoxicated staff, worn-out furnishings and sticky floors, unhygienic toilet facilities, and the horror of what appear to be rats / mice running around inside the venue, all accompanied by a sound system that's often distorted or cuts out or fails altogether. A venue littered with bottles of drink that customers have smuggled inside with them, speaks volumes about a total lack of organisation - from indifferent security to complacent management. The concept of the Nightcap Plc business is a great one, but rather than improving what were once proud independent company gems, it appears to be just an investment company, buying up brands - then making cut-backs on staff and service and quality, in order to save on expenditure for the purpose of bolstering shareholder's profits. The demeanour of barstaff clearly shows a low morale, they probably realise they are expendable. The service of the drinks shows apathy, the proud environment of a once exciting venue, is all but gone. Drunk staff serving drunk customers in a dirty atmosphere, is a standard this place should never have sank to. Some reviews on here are positive, although mainly based on customers enticed by free drinks in return for a glowing write-up. But, read between the lines of the negative experiences - you'll find an infrastructure in decline, the Titanic of venues. offering extended happy-hour (sometimes even free) drinks to inflate venue capacities, as opposed to a fully booked venue as it was before the corporate Nightcap Plc, a company that was featured on BBC news in 2023 for allegations of allowing underage drinking and sexual harassment at another of it's Cocktail Club venues in London. The issues within this establishment start from the top management at Nightcap - downwards.

Pros

The only pro I can think of is that they give u free cocktails sometimes

Cons

The boss is very mean and it’s normal to be scared on shift when she’s in a bad mood. They work u to death pretty much and don’t pay u overtime, my shift would end at 1 AM and I wouldn’t leave sometimes until 3/4 in the morning.
