Disorganized, but not the worst. Good pay. - Mental Health Clinician The Children's Village Employee Review

Pros

Children's Village has exciting opportunities, excellent salaries as of recently, and an amazing mission. There is also opportunity to move up in the company. Lots of learning and training opportunities.

Cons

There is plenty of favoritism. There is evidence of disorganized culture, and not very many forums to address needs, questions, or issues that may arise for you in your day-to-day.

Pros

Good benefits, permanent schedule, paid holidays and room to grow.

Cons

It gets very busy with low staffing. You cannot leave your shift and sometimes you dont know who called out.

Pros

Kids and staff are great. Work can feel meaningful. Benefits are there.

Cons

No actual overtime. Staff need more training but don't receive it. Upper management is rude and irresponsible (though I hear this is dependent on where you work). They are a little all over the place when it comes to getting you situated and will blame you if you fall behind or make mistakes because of their own errors. Not to mention getting hired in the first place is a very long process (months). If you are trying to switch jobs, be careful of doing so right away. There is work life balance but only if you make it clear thats what you want as there are a couple of folks who have none and will try to contact you on your days off (weekends included) to get work done that they should've done on a work day.
