      * Work as a freelancer

      Cons

      *defect moderators are bunch of cheaters. They reject defects saying those are not in scope and then the next build comes with the issue fixed. We spend massive time on finding defects and no value for the effort put in. Bunch of unethical souls. The test guideline does not come with a detail scope, despite the defects get rejected with the comment stating not in scope.

We are making improvements to the Tester Work platform to ensure that testing guidelines in the future come with the full scope. We’ve additionally added a new quality control check to ensure that bugs aren’t rejected wrongly. I’m really disappointed to hear about your experience and we never want people to feel as though their time has been wasted.

      Pros

      They’re fair, and it is your duty to read the full worksheet for your assignments. Don’t diss them for that, follow protocol. They pay out as prescribed, and give you bonuses if you catch a bug regardless of if you catch a bug or not, they just want to perform the prescribed test cycle. Recently got $60 even though my bug was a duplicate of the first— so I didn’t get $68 just $60. All well, right? Haha, that’s how it roles with this employer, and they’re fair.

      Cons

      The beginning of being “smoked” overtly feels and acts like one is getting hazed by a fraternity at first. They could work on that behavior for no recruits and employees (I get the scare tactic to get true talent onboarded but it stifles that a little)
