Pros

Flexible working, work from home. Results based environment Good perks for Singapore based company. But nothing special (no bonuses, equity or learning allowance) International crew and diverse people Friendly team (except for some people who play politics and use the office to socialise instead of work)

Cons

Management does not like to communicate clearly, and likes to say things behind closed doors or make off handed remarks on Slack or in meetings. There is one VP who is famous for walking into other people’s meetings that he is not invited to. There are no written strategies or plans that are communicated to the employees of the company’s thesis, insights, direction or current financial health. When a decision is made, almost nobody knows why. We just have to follow along blindly High turnover in leadership is also worrisome. Even though it is clear to all employees that the current leadership is not suited for their jobs, they still get hired and then only let go after they don’t perform. Many execs left in the past 3 months alone Many of us wish that proper vetting was done before these leaders were hired. One of them in particular that is still with the company is clearly incompetent based on his lack of results and also lack of past experience..However he has a lot of power to decide things in the company, and has somehow become in charge of a lot of people and projects in the company. He is not just incompetent but also toxic. He says different things to different people and creates confusion and miscommunication. Because of this person, there is a culture of talking very loudly in the office, looking good and covering your own back. Many people I work with have privately brought this up with the founders or hr, but it has been months and nothing has been done about this person. He has not been given management training or his power taken away from him. Instead he has been given more responsibilities. This person’s mismanagement is the main reason the company has run into troubles with delivering the cards in 2018. Even though many of us know it, the founders refuse to acknowledge that this person was accountable for the failure Leadership continues to tell us very specific plans (which keep changing without proper reasons) and treat the employees as people to execute on it. When the plan does not work, the employees are blamed for not delivering. The leaders are not accountable for their plans that are not validated by market data. It is all based on opinion and who talks the loudest.

Pros

Great people as individuals and a great network of buyers from all across the country!

Cons

Extremely unorganized. It’s straight up east coast vs west coast. Anytime something goes wrong the finger pointing starts. Very few people own their mistakes and even fewer understand their clients frustrations with the platform. On top Of that you have an auction company that does not pay on deals less than $650k which is ridiculous in this debt market and an asset in palm beach that is 1.5M could be less than 650k in an inferior market. Further, the team is obsessed with Trade rate and constantly making the numbers look better than they are. The company simply refuses to acknowledge that there are way too many cooks in the kitchen on every deal. Go ahead and ask any client, they’ll say the same. The company will never be profitable bc of the ongoing fight between operations and sales. Everyone wants the credit but nobody wants the blame.
