Pros

The tourism industry is a great industry to join overall. Tempest is firmly planted in this industry and are growing in influence as well.

Cons

Leadership is practically non-existent. Senior management is great within their technical fields and are extremely intelligent people, however lack basic people management skills. There are no clear paths to success, no advancement opportunities, terrible communication and generally little to no feedback unless it's negative. Project management is also lacking, which often leads to incomplete or aimless projects. Senior management is also extremely cliquey. If you happen to be accepted into their personal "clique" the job may be great, otherwise don't expect much but decent pay and a fair amount of days off. Culture is a word that gets used a lot at Tempest, but they seem to lack the ability to make the company culture an all-inclusive one. There are many double standards within the company and no employee representation by way of human resources at all. Employees here also lack a general level of respect for each other which consistently goes unaddressed and the "team" mentality here are just words with no follow through.

Pros

Great work culture, competitive compensation, strong focus on core values, hybrid work force, not to mention an exciting vertical in which to work.

Cons

Nothing comes to mind at this time.

Pros

Tempest is rapidly growing in a great business sector: Tourism. They have plenty of work, and the people there are great to work with, and experts in their fields. Many people in the company can work from home. They want to create a great atmosphere for employees.

Cons

Like many small but quickly growing companies, they have too much work, and not enough people. The hours required can be long. The business owners do not yet have a great grasp of managing customer expectations, and do not have enough processes in place to handle problems efficiently, both with customers and employees. The company hierarchy can be a bit messy with too much overlap and not necessarily clear paths to get answers. I think they promise too much to potential employees with regard to growth. I don't think it's there yet.
