Lacks transparency and management skills - Anonymous employee Tauria Employee Review

The company and CEO seemed promising at first but after a few months in, it's become apparent that they lack both management skills and transparency. Team members are being let go suddenly without either prior notice or even informing the team that they’ve either resigned or have been fired. For projects, they communicate and collaborate poorly as they expect employees to “read their minds”. If the CEO doesn’t approve, there’s no point in reasoning with him why his idea doesn’t work. It’s his way or nothing at all, no matter how senseless. Many times, the CEO will throw tantrums if he feels the team isn’t “engaging” in conversation enough, he and the rest of management will also ignore your work but expect you to reply right away even at wee hours of the night. They love to call for daily meetings, but these meetings are always redundant and stunt the team’s productivity and they eventually led to burnout. They also take advantage of both interns and employees from developing countries. For interns, they’re unpaid but given full-time roles. For employees in poorer nations, they’re offered pay that barely even reaches what is considered min. wage in Waterloo, ON without even the most basic of benefits. I understand that many companies choose to outsource for more affordable prices but many legitimate companies actually provide basic benefits at least. The salary isn’t even fixed contrary to what’s stated in the contract. The company seemed very promising but even the product itself has questionable security protocols. Overall, steer clear of Tauria (Waterloo, ON). The CEO seemed to be young and promising but eventually turned out to be young, oblivious, and has no sense of leadership, and most importantly, no actual work experience. He can’t handle a team what more a company?
