Pros

1)Cab Facility 2)Occasional client recognition certificates

Cons

1)I have worked in CDM profile for 1 year at Hiranandani Estate,Thane and had the worst experience of my life. 2)There was internal politics. If you are friends with the team leaders you get a chance to get higher roles in the process. Group lead was not co-operative and was bossy. 3) Since CDM is BPS domain you will be devoid of all the benefits that IT guys get. The great Group Lead was would never attend to any of the personal or the professional issues faced by the employee. Many employees have complained to HR due to her unruly behavior. 4)The 10 hours work hours were excruciating, work culture was bad where you don't get to learn anything apart new from one function. There is no growth. 6)Canteen Food was bad and not all subsidized. 7)There are Team outings. This Group Lead would tell the employees to pay from pocket if at all a team outing is planned. 8)There would never be even a small sweet boxes for the occasions like Diwali or New year. 9) Overall worst workplace to work at.

Pros

Large client base. Talented people, have "cracked the code" on offshoring development and support.

Cons

For anyone used to working in US-based firms, the culture and politics will be difficult to understand and navigate. Internal policies and systems focus on the offshore delivery center model. Roles in the US do not fit into that mold, and obtaining approvals for simple expenses can require weeks and insanely high approval chains given the size of TCS. I needed approval from a global division head (a CEO direct-report) just to pay for a short training course. Missions of different departments are not clearly defined, so overlap and conflict are common.
