Worst firm ever joined - Audit Senior Associate Tan, Chan & Partners Employee Review

Nice office environment. Got own toilet which quite clean. Short walking distance to eatery.

1. Salary very low. Compare with other small firm, this one really lowest but workload like big firm. 2. They like hire fresh grad from Meleisia. I think we all knowing the reason. But they never thinking if the fresh grad got enough audit knowledge or not then just hiring only. Later expect them to performing like experienced staff. 3. Senior always got blame. Senior always get say: “Why you not guide junior properly?” But reality senior also overloaded, no time to even breathe, how to guide? They keep hiring fresh grad with limited knowledge, expect senior to train them like full-time teacher. Especially during peak period, all already no energy, still must guide from zero. 4. Need hit around 3x your salary every month but in reality need more than that then only got increment/bonus. Even you exceed, bonus also errr. 5. Assign many job to you at same time, client deadline all bump each. Expect you to handle everything. We not robot ok, only got 1 otak 2 hands leh. Job assigned, must start within 2–3 days or prepare get say, ask you meeting. One month handle many client like buffet. Then they saying can arrange your own fieldwork date with client. Sound flexible? But when you arranging not “soon enough”, they start saying you this and that, ask you change date. Very funny never think we already busy with other cases. You think we don’t want to be fast? Client also no complain, but they more kancheong than client. Scared we no doing job? 6. Pantry also no proper. Food sometime staff putting there but got free water dispenser. 7. Two years bond trap. First few years turnover low because all stuck with bond. Once bond finish, people leave together. Interview say bond can nego. When want really leaving early, suddenly must pay and kena say something bad. 8. Benefits slowly disappear. Last time got wfh, now no more. 9. Fieldwork also no freedom. Go out must clock in/out. Forget one time, prepare get saying again. Boss prefer you back office, scared you play outside no doing job. 10. Boss style. Very experienced, yes. But also liking giving long lecture and 大道理. Sometime feel like attend free motivation talk. 11. Promises vs reality. Say working hard will providing oversea trip. Ending up going into kukup trip. 12. Management always missing. They take leave like ninja, suddenly disappear. 13. OT also wrong, no OT also wrong. Sometime you OT already, still get saying: “Why OT also cannot finish?” But in real got anyone guide? Everything need self-research, self-learn, self-suffer. Logic? OT also cannot save you. Sad. 14. Too many office politics. Some team not good with other team. 15. They always caring more about monthly bill than real audit quality. All must wrap up fast like audit very simple. But sometime client account super messy, reply slow, everything delay. No billing yet, then we getting complaint again. Fast billing = proper work? 16. Cannot fell sick if keep mc will get question why keep sick? The medical allowance very low that it can only cover like 2-3 visit to clinic only.

Benefits are poor overall: no WFH flexibility, no OT and allowance 6. Management practices are weak, with frequent changes to firm policies that create uncertainty and inconsistency.
