Pros

50% discount off donated merchandise only

Cons

1) Poor pay, few incentives, no recognition. Poor working conditions (no AC - turned off regularly, dusty, very hot and gets stinky). 2) Everyone works against each other rather than with each other. 3) Managers have clear favourites, not based on performance. Laziness seems to be the norm and is clearly accepted. 4) No business standards, overpacked racks and shelves that severely impact potential sales. Employees given no direction when given tasks and are expected to finish it flawlessly. 5) Hours of part time workers capped at 20 in order to avoid benefits payout. Do not expect more than 3 shifts a week - but expect to be called every day to work Production for less $$. 6) Two separate "teams" that do not work cohesively and are paid different wages and benefits despite similar responsibilities and expectations. 7) Management leaves store by 4:30pm every day and do not come in on weekends resulting in a lack of accountability throughout the store. 8) Management more worried about petty theft and illegal dumping in the dumpster than employee morale. Numbers always come first at Talize. 9) Only certain people can do certain tasks, minimal crosstraining, if manager doesn't like how you do something one time you will never be allowed to do it again. 10) 6000 items a day or bust without any regard for cleanliness, efficiency, shopability, or common sense.

Pros

Overall good place if you are working retail front, won't get definitive 24 hours part time, but limited to minimum 12 hours.

Cons

If working in the back, the work is target based, and you have to constantly perform each day. Heavy workload, and tight working spaces.
