Pros

Good pay if you negotiate

Cons

Pressure and guilt tactics for not working long hours Last minute schedule postings and schedule changes Passive aggression and power struggles Inappropriate discussions about clients physical appearance on several occasions No boundaries - will text you outside of working hours Fires people by taking people off the schedule and then ghosting them Frantic energy at work - everything is made to feel catastrophic No training period and questions discouraged during training period Social pressure and very strong hierarchy amongst the designers based on perceived talent Inappropriate talk about sex lives, sexuality, sexual jokes at work Use of the f slur on a few occasions and an instance of the N word (by a non-queer, non black entity)

Pros

- You will learn a lot about the floral and event industry up close and personal! Very hands on, which is great for the inexperienced. - A team of supportive and creative individuals. We're all here to grow and learn together which is proven time and time again. - Creativity flourishes in environments where management recognizes the potential in its employees. - You will definitely be proud of the work you create. - Room for growth is absolutely possible!

Cons

If you don't know already, you NEED to be physically fit when setting up or breaking down events in general. Studio work is also physically demanding with heavy floral arrangements, buckets, vases, and items to be lifted here and there and being on your feet everyday. This is all very typical of any event/floral company, though. Hours can be long, but this goes for any company in the event/floral industry.
