Pros
Aggressive recruiters You get 3 weeks vacation and most Federal holidays however if your contract runs short on hours you use that leave to make expenses!! The company will not cover you for a shortfall or snow emergency day. In the past I've used up 14 days leave because of this.
Cons
I want to be frank about this review of this company, if you really need a job then I would work here short term. I have been a defense contractor for over 20 years and this firm is a typical small "Body Shop". Which means they are there to fill slots for the customer. TPGS partners with the bigger defense companies like BAE or Booze Allen which gives them sub jobs, they do not do prime contracting as of this date. Being a sub can be precarious because of a downsizing or cutting hours you are prone to layoffs and TPGS will not keep you without a contract. I saw 2 employees get let go without a 2 week notice and one was told via voicemail, so professional! When I joined we had some decent on site leads and management but they have left. One of my first line managers left because of TPGS's not going after prime work and being too content with being a sub. One of the more senior managers left to start his own firm and guess what he's going after prime work. If you work here make sure your contract is for the allotted time, a two year contract is not broken up into 4 six month contracts. This is where this company gets unethical and sketchy,
