Pros

You can get lots of experience working at Telescope. They always have work to be done. There's a lot of opportunities to learn more there if you find a way to push what you want to learn. They're open minded if your ideas can benefit the company on the whole. Benefits are REALLY good. I have to say that their health and 401K are hard to beat with ANY company out there. They're a very friendly environment and the people there are really fantastic. The environment is relaxed for the most part.

Cons

Salaries are way below market for all positions below "C" levels, especially for a company making as much money and for a company with so little competition. Management is pretty much 50% of the company making it difficult to understand the decision chain, but worse, some of the managers there don't know what they're doing and pass the responsibilities down until someone knows what to do.

Pros

At Telescope you get to work alongside some of the most wonderful, smart, and kind people who truly enjoy the work that they do. Very collaborative and positive environment where everyone is working towards the same goals, while having a lot of fun along the way.

Cons

No downsides that come to mind!

Pros

Friendly office environment with flexibility to work from home at certain times. Holiday PTO during the Christmas to New Years break. Ability to grow yourself as a developer and explore new technologies, if the campaign or product allows it. 401k matching and insurance benefits. The company continues to grow with new developments in their live video platform. Individual team environments are strong.

Cons

Tight turn arounds that can be challenging due to lack of commitment on designs and expectations. Salaries are lower than industry standards with minimal increase year over year. Clients takes priority even when they may be incorrect or not understand what they want or need; leading to developers to complete work that is never used, hurried or sloppy. Some team members seem to lose the idea that the entire company as a whole is a team; a mentality of this is my role and my only responsibility.
