Pros
The people you work with are what make this job bearable. Other than that you get an opportunity to learn about technology, other companies, and get in front of executive level people
Cons
LONG HOURS! I cannot stress that enough. If you want a 9-5 job, this is not the place for you. You also have to compete with favoritism in this organization. One person can do whatever they want with no consequences, while if anyone else does it they will be put on a performance plan. It's all about getting commission in the recruiter role, but in reality everyone struggles to get in the commission tiers for the first 2 years (sometimes longer!). Once you reach commission, the percentage that you take home is so minimal, you wonder if it was all really worth it to get to that point. Every year the management team makes changes that are wildly unfavorable, but follow with "adoption is not an option." Oh and if you would like to get promoted there are only two routes to go, Account Manager or Recruiter Lead.
