Pros
Co-workers are absolutely lovely. Met some really nice people, some managers are nice from time to time depending on their mood. 7.50 pound an hour, but the hours are so poor the higher hourly wage is useless.
Cons
I don't even know what to start from. The company expects you to be fully flexible but they randomly cut hours to your minimal contracted hours. One rare week you'll find yourself doing over 30 hours when you're on a minimal 8 hour contract, but thats on occasion. They employ too much staff and cut the hours of loyal workers. Instead of employing 20 people every few months why don't you just give more hours to the dedicated staff you already have? How are we supposed to live of minimal contracted hours. The wage won't even cover rent most of the time!!! I have worked for the company for nearly a year and I have been asking for my contract being increased for absolutely ages and so have others but with no response, yet a new employee got a job with a 30 hour contract just because they know someone who is higher up in the company!! Direspectful and unfair. Managers are moody, sometimes they are nice but most of the time they won't even respond to you saying hello. They love to act like they are better than you. Rota gets put up very late and gets changed all the time randomly! Can't plan your time off whatsoever. No chances for upgrading to a higher position. People have worked here for over 10 years and they are still just a regular shop floor assistant. It also seems like they don't want foreign employees to get the higher management positions.
