Pros
Opportunity to learn lots (as you'll be flung at anything which desparately needs doing).
Cons
Support departments are vastly under staffed and systems are outdated. While improvements are being put in place, the workload associated with this is not accounted for in staffing levels, leaving staff burnt out or past caring. Senior management is either wilfully blind or astoundingly ignorant to the needs of departments they don't/won't understand. Synthomer is managed by white middle class men who seem to lack the ability to consider input from anyone who isn't a "favourite". And you're most likely to be a favourite if you're a white middle class man. Culture and Values are not lived by the senior team, even if they are to some level by lower management, the fact the senior team don't can stymee progress.
