Pros
A lot of programs are literature based, so if you are a big fan of book clubs and literature, you'd be able to attend the events for free. All of the staff are really friendly and welcoming to everyone. Another plus is the 4-10 work schedule that allows you to have a three day weekend. The company is also generous with the amount of PTO, Holiday, Sick Time, and Personal time off you receive.
Cons
Even for a non-profit, the pay is less than competitors. There is also little to no room for growth within the company. Often there is a lack of structure and organization for projects, resulting in a preference for quick solutions than quality works. Projects get held up a lot, because there is only one or two people who are able to give feedback and approval for all projects in the company across all departments. With all the projects going at once, you'll find yourself waiting for a response for days, sometimes even a whole week (regardless the amount of times you follow up).
