Pros

It's all roses in the beginning until you ask to leave.

Cons

Symmetry Financial Group (SFG)is like the jealous EX who will not accept that it just didn’t work out between us. I turned in my resignation with Symmetry Financial Group on May 19, 2021. More than one month later, I am still distracted at my new IMO, by the endless exit drama with SFG. Trying to get them to accept the fact that I’m leaving. It’s over because I have found that I can make 50% more to start with MOST of the other IMO’s. Who, in their right mind, wouldn’t leave for more money? If you are a new or experienced licensed insurance agent, looking for a place to call home on the IMO front; Do NOT stop at Symmetry Financial Group. You will regret the day you ever met this organization. Believe it or not, it is in their policy to hold you hostage for 6 months, if you decide to leave them for another IMO who does business with the same Carriers. And of course, all of the IMO’s have the most of the same, if not all of the same carriers: Mutual of Omaha, Foresters, John Hancock, AIG etc. Symmetry Financial Group states that it is at their discretion to release or not to release you from your contract with them. Trust me, I don’t mean them any harm. I left quietly. I asked them to just send my toothbrush. Pack up my things and I’ll pick them up later. It was just between me and them but, they just keep holding on! Before you make your move to Symmetry Financial Group, like any other relationship. You can’t always tell from the outside looking in, if you’re going to be a good match. Don’t waste your time. Take it from me. Waiting 6 months to have full use of all the best Carriers will hurt you financially. I guess that’s what SFG is communicating. If they can’t have you, no one else will. Symmetry Financial Group will ruin you first. If not ruin, they’ll leave you with a limp that makes you terribly unattractive for the next IMO that comes along. It only takes a stroke of the pen. A few clicks of their computer, to state: Go! Be free! Live! Love! Be Happy! So, let’s recap...I turned in a letter of resignation to my upline. I sent the signed transfer form also to my upline and to everyone else that may have been interested. I asked for the release. And six weeks later I’m still waiting. No one should have to go through this and if I have anything to say about it. No one else will. I’ll keep you posted.
