Pros
The opportunity to work with students who most need help.
Cons
The attitude of the institution is apathetic to downright hostile to the student body. Tuition continues to rise while student services are being gutted (and teacher pay remains stagnant at an hourly rate). Students are admitted regardless of academic ability, aptitude, or stability in their life. Incoming students are routinely lied to by admissions reps and administration in order to fill the class size. As enrollment has steadily shrunk, the lies have become bolder and more brazen. Furthermore, education (as it does in many for-profit schools) takes a back seat to marketing. This applies to budgets, as well as general culture. For example, class load for teachers change on a semester basis with little to no notice. This makes it difficult to build a career around this institution, as it demands professionalism from its employees yet provides none. Unsurprisingly, they are currently under investigation for fraud. Please think twice before agreeing to work for this institution.
