Pros

The core devs are dedicated and hard working.

Cons

Poor Leadership & Financial Mismanagement – Leadership continuously wastes funding and overscopes projects, leading to avoidable failures. They also exhibit unprofessional behavior toward staff. Chaotic Company Culture – Despite being around for over a decade, the studio still operates like an early-stage startup, struggling to establish itself as a professional business. Unstable Job Security – There’s a history of yearly layoffs, and the company remains understaffed, expecting employees to take on responsibilities outside their roles. No Pay Increases – No raises in the past four years, despite inflation and increased workloads. Return to Office Reversal – Survios was once fully remote, but after the poor sales of their latest game, leadership abruptly forced employees back into the office with little regard for work-life balance. With how poorly managed the studio is, it’s a miracle they’ve lasted this long. If you’re considering working here, think twice—there are far better opportunities elsewhere.

Pros

- Senior talent from companies all across the industry who will teach you about best practices or prevent you from making their past mistakes - Entrusts you with many difficult tasks, giving lots of experience in relatively little time To be honest I seriously didn't like my experience at first coming in as a fresh grad, but as the years go by I've become increasingly appreciative and grateful for what Survios has done for me as a developer. They took a chance on me, allowed me to do a lot of big things, their senior staff taught me many tips/tricks, and I learned a lot about how the real world works.

Cons

- Management above lead levels don't appear to have very much knowledge about games or how the projects are going, but to be fair their role is probably more about securing funding than game development anyway especially given how tight the VR industry is - If you don't know what you're doing, you will probably be removed rather quickly compared to most others studios in which you can hide in the cracks like a rat
