Pros

Enjoyed manufacturing environment - with diverse customer base and product line. Full service company at the time ranging from design to complete manufacturing and testing. Appeared to be driven management team to identify new customers and product lines to avoid lulls between contracts. Large local employement base of 1,400 and seven other plant locations throughout the United States. Twenty four hour operations with multiple lines on product manufacturing. Operations and staff sufficient to require full time safety and environmental manager without worry of boredom. Responsiblity of Texas Environmental Quality and ISO program for environmental audits and compliance. Most operations within the plant to limit some exposures.

Cons

No sales leadership; mid managers not held accountable for performance; not exploring all opportunities to create revenue; held hostage by customer base - afraid to tell customer no for fear they would go elsewhere - would not sell quality only price. Could seemlessly end one product line and begin another one. Senior Management would place themselves above the employees and to a dregree manage by intimidation - peoplae were not only truthful for fear of "shooting the messenger".Poor planning on management team to schedule work - Leased workforce management would advise to train new employees then product line would not be implemented for weeks after - those employees would leave and be forced to retrain - waste of time, money and resources.
