The senior lawyers are a great bunch to work for. For a law firm, pretty good perks - 10 sick days and you're paid for unused ones; paid for unused vacation days; health benefits are contributed to by you and employer. Relaxed atmosphere and office closes at 4 the Friday before a long weekend.

Absolutely no communication! No consistency to the rules. Discipline is rarely handed down and bullies are allowed if they are managements' favourite. Pay is no longer best in town and staff have only rec'd a cost of living for the past 5 (maybe closer to 10?) years; no merit increase. No where to grow and staff are not treated with respect, especially by junior lawyers. Hiring nothing but school girls just out of co-op programe.
