Pros
Finally, a hospital that values its employees and makes them feel like a priority. This is a great place to work. Many of the senior leaders have retired recently and the new top brass are proving to be a great team to work for. There is a very distinct emphasis on quality, working to ensure appropriate staffing levels, and addressing issues as they arise.
Cons
Like most hospitals, this one has a bit of a generation gap between some of its employees. Half of them have worked here for 20+ years and the other half have Barry even been alive for 20+ years. There are lots of differences in the way people work, think, and communicate. Change is not always as easily accepted by the more veteran staff members, as some are slow to let go of “the way we’ve always done it.”
