- Internal communication and task management is a free-for-all; No one knows what's going on.
- People are constantly leaving and being replaced at the company; No one knows who's in-charge of what.
- No separation of duties AT ALL. Everyone is a generalist, with no expertise in any single area.
- There is no useful or relevant internal training. Any training or documentation that they DO have is only to meet compliance or liability requirements.
- The business is built on outdated technology, running proprietary code.
- No one knows how the proprietary code works (they've all quit).
- Management has no desire to upgrade/replace said outdated technology and proprietary code, for fear of failure. This stems from lack of technical competence-- the industry has many simple solutions to the issues that Striata's management is tripping over.
- Security is an accident waiting to happen... The only reason they haven't had a disastrous security incident, is because no one has chosen to target them yet.
