Pros
- best people I have ever worked with in the industry - all incredibly kind, smart, willing to help - office is in a great location in downtown Chicago - Teams always celebrate life events and big wins (e.g. birthdays, weddings, babies, etc.) - such a nice way to get to know coworkers - amazing benefits and solid PTO offering
Cons
- Very disorganized, lots of churn - no one knows where files are saved, there's files from years ago that only one person knows about - Constantly just working on patching things up vs. innovating and testing new ideas - slow moving - lots of restrictions because of German counterparts, so hard to be innovative - pretty lean team, so you're doing the work of at least 2-3 people as one person - it's hard to be promoted, even if you're a top performer -- can take 1+ year after starting promotion discussions to actually be promoted - high turnover on certain teams - emotional leadership on some teams sometimes makes it hard to be objective - inconsistent PTO approval - they will let some people go out for 2-3wks at a time, and tell others they aren't allowed to do that
