Pros
- Great work life balance with low stress levels if you are in marketing or sales functions. - The company has a lot of potential - they have carved out a niche in a field where there are no major players. They have a good amount of pull in the Stone and Tile Industry and have key accounts. - Great location - right by Lake Michigan and in the Streeterville neighborhood of Chicago. - You may even get to travel to tradeshows and conferences if you are in Sales - great option for someone who loves the traveling job.
Cons
- There are only 4 people in the office in Chicago (and perhaps even the entire US) - Majority of the IT team is offshore in India and the management people are also of the same kind. You will feel out of place if you are not one of them when they start communicating in a foreign language either within the office or during calls with the IT team and you are just sitting there staring at the walls or meddling with your pen. - The managers are very poor with their managerial skills. They micromanage a lot or either are abusive making even trivial things sound like a big deal even though they are not. This is not a place to learn from mistakes! - Management is presumptuous and think they are always right, you are just working for them and your opinions dont count especially if you are young or new. Teamwork only goes so far here.
