Pros
- There are very intelligent people here and most of them are quite down-to-earth - Work from home/remote due to COVID - The tech we have is constantly improving and does take into account our feedback on features - Long-term clients are happy with performance and our support
Cons
- Onboarding of new clients and staff is messy and becomes extremely stressful as you deal with timelines that are unmanageable and all over the place. - Work life balance / burnout has been an issue ever since I joined and we simply are not bringing on the right people at the right speeds. With that comes resentment for high workload, demanding clients, and compensation that no one is happy with for what you're handling. - Speaking of pay and compensation, the company will take every chance to pay you at least 20% less than the market rate. They will instead dangle a carrot in front of you, promises of advancement and growth, but at the end of the day you'll be looking to leave again once you realize the structure we have is simply not improving any time soon. They will not come even close to matching an offer. I have heard this reinforced from many former colleagues. - When you take all of the above into account, this has resulted in low morale and dreading the holidays or taking on new accounts. Culture is difficult to implement with a remote-first environment, but plenty of other companies are doing it. We need to truly look at this ASAP so we can stop losing staff.
