Pros
I worked for Sterling from 2006 - 2011. In the meantime our economy crashed and regional banks got hit. hard. My role was in business banking, so not in the branch, and I was a Customer Service Representative. This was a great opportunity for a first job right out of college. I learned a lot about the corporate world, and my colleagues were all great people. We weathered a storm, and although it was tough, my team was supportive of me, and I of them.
Cons
It was a regional bank….not a great spot to be in when we have to get TARP funds. Senior management was pretty removed, and no clear advancement path.
