This is an OK place to work, but you're not going to be compensated properly. - Anonymous employee Sterigenics Employee Review

Pros

You will drive a forklift for the majority of your shift, and everyone is fine with you sitting down and playing on your cell phone when there isn't any work to be done. This can sometimes be 4 out of 12 hours of your shift. There are opportunities to move-up within the company if you're willing to work for it, and everyone seems patient.

Cons

You're working around a dangerous, hazardous material with enough power to destroy a large area around the plant. This isn't so bad as there are many safety rules in place to keep you and the facility safe. The problem is that even with this, the risks are still quite high, and you will never be properly compensated for this risk. You can easily find a much higher paying job for a forklift operator without the risks of this job. While you can move-up within the company, your pay won't raise much. You will almost always be where you started, but with more responsibilities. Management is pretty lazy. They believe that they got where they are so they deserve to sit back and watch you work. This wouldn't be so bad if we weren't always so short-staffed and if we weren't so under payed.

Pros

• You’ll learn how much disrespect a company can pack into a single day. • Great place if you enjoy watching insecure managers boost their egos. • Perfect training ground for dealing with toxicity and racism. • You’ll quickly discover your tolerance for nonsense has limits. • A masterclass in how not to run a company

Cons

This place is full of failures — every corner of it. Racist, toxic, bitter losers who treat employees like dirt because deep down they know they’ll never amount to anything. Respect? Professionalism? Doesn’t exist here. I was on contract and they couldn’t even give me the basic decency of updates about my extension. The moment I found something better, they acted like jealous toddlers. Two days before my contract ended, my so-called “manager” — the most racist, insecure, power-hungry snout clown I’ve ever seen — thought cutting me early would boost her ego. Cheap heels, cheaper ego. If that was supposed to hurt me, it didn’t. It just exposed her as a joke. I don’t need to tell them I’m the power — I already walked away winning. They’re still stuck, drowning in their own toxic swamp. End of story.
