Pros
I wasn’t with the company for more than a week before my manager called me into the office to discuss my future at the company and my career goals. It wasn’t just a careless “so how long do you really see yourself staying here” conversation, but a serious in-depth look at the different career avenues available to me and where I felt my strengths lay and what I wanted to accomplish in the next 5, 10, and 50 years. We discussed my personal ambitions and how I envisioned my retirement. It was incredible to know that I was seen so fully as a whole human being and not just a worker drone that they could suck value from until I couldn’t take it any longer. I’ve never felt more confident in a career decision in my entire life. If they wanted to make a loyal employee out of me, they definitely succeeded I can tell you that.
Cons
I haven’t really noticed any. There’s good days and bad, but as far as the company itself goes, I think they handle all the ups and downs well and do a great job of communicating everything to us employees. I don’t have any complaints.
