They can’t keep claims employees for anything right now because they’re working them to death instead of hiring a proper amount of people, performance managing those who don’t carry their weight, and providing proper training. I work in an administrative assistant position but was just involuntarily reassigned to work as a claim associate for a few weeks. They frame it as a “development opportunity.” I don’t want development in claim handling. If I wanted to be a claim handler, I would have applied to be one. This was done on a Friday afternoon and is effective Monday. We got zero information about what we’d be doing, and we’re once again given the message that the work we do as admins is not important and can just be dropped. Love spending the whole weekend anxious and wondering what I’m walking into Monday.
