Pros
Starting out as floor staff, the job is fairly easy and lax. There is not much supervision, and employees are expected to be self-motivated. Managers are nice, if incompetent and intrusive into employees' personal lives. Overall, work is fine - it really depends on whom you work for/with.
Cons
Upon gaining employment everyone is told that advancement will be fast if you care enough to pursue it. This is definitely not the case. Managers hire friends and family instead of promoting deserving employees from within. They will also hide in the office during busy rounds, slack off work duties (which they expect lower-level employees to make up), and disciplinary actions are usually based off of management's subjective opinion instead of the employee handbook.
