Pros
No background checks or drug tests - also makes this a rough place to work.
Cons
Facility is located in a terrible high crime neighborhood. Old decrepit building falling apart with extremely old and outdated machinery which needs constant upkeep but company doesn’t have the money to invest. High scrap rates and laughable on time delivery. Management is in a completely different building as the foundry and it feels as if they don’t communicate. Most of the hourly employees are either undocumented or served large prison sentences. Mouse are rampant and place is extremely dirty and gross as if no one ever cleans anything. Complete lack of pride in this place. No bonuses and wage freezes for years. Hourly employees finally got some raises but entirely cut overtime and then management complains people aren’t doing enough. They hire employees as melters and then have them grind castings as their grind backlog is massive and they don’t have the ability to move products through the facility quickly enough to keep pouring. There is an employee who has lived in the parking lot for the past three years and the company is completely fine with that abs another who sleeps in the conference crook as he is also homeless.
