Cons
I joined the organization in early 2023 and encountered several issues during my time there. The environment was challenging, marked by disorganization, equipment problems, poor communication, harassment, and misguided self-reliance. The headquarters are really poor quality compared to many of the other nearby EMS companies, with no amenities. Benefits were near impossible to access; there are so few doctors on the approved list that it can take up to a year to recieve care and the insurance is the worst I've seen. Every few months, the company would try to reorganized itself into something that wasn't a complete mess, which made it very confusing. Incidents that transpired during a specific period raised questions about the guidance and expectations within the organization. The cancellation of many planned training sessions impacted our ability to provide optimal patient care and hindered our professional growth, and caused many of my peers and I to struggle to ensure the accuracy of our certifications; caused us to risk harming our patients further because we didn't understand certain procedures or equipment, and made us not trust our managers to show up for us. Also, 4-5 people total will be allowed to work 911 and they will not train you for 911, even if that's the job advertised. Pay is very poor, which is normal in this field. However, at this rate, it's unlivable.
