Pros

Base Salary, Flexible Schedule, Covered Travel and per diem.

Cons

Zero accountability and backbone in the leadership. plans and expectations were constantly changing depending on who the ownership and management spoke to that day. if you weren’t one of the owners buddies it was incredibly difficult to get anything done. All promises of promotion and growth were empty and could not trust leadership to make good on their word. The owner with zero sales experience decided to hire their investors best friend. Her job was to bring in outbound enterprise deals but quickly demanded everyone else’s deals which we were forced to accept and she still couldn’t close them. Ed let go of the majority of his sales team due to her not liking them and wanting full control and didn’t even care to do it himself. Had our Hr person and a consultant do it

Pros

Exciting Startup Energy: electric atmosphere that makes coming to work actually enjoyable. There's a real sense that you’re part of something growing and impactful. Empowered Ownership: You’re not just another cog in the machine—everyone's voice matters here. Ideas are encouraged, and execution is fast. Tight-Knit Team: The culture is warm and collaborative. People genuinely support each other, and the lack of red tape makes collaboration effortless. Remote-First Flexibility: Great work-life balance with the flexibility to work from anywhere while still staying deeply connected to the team. Cool Tech + Purpose: You get to work on meaningful problems in the modern data stack space, which is both technically exciting and highly relevant.

Cons

Startup Pace Isn’t for Everyone: Things move quickly and sometimes processes are being built as we go. If you need rigid structure, this might feel a little too dynamic. Wearing Multiple Hats: With a lean team, sometimes you’ll find yourself jumping between roles. But if you like learning fast and trying new things, this is a plus.
