They're a group of good ol' boys who like to work hard and play harder. Pay is pretty good and the guys are easy to get along with. You get to see many new places and get opportunity to work high profile jobs involving fiber optic splicing.

Road job, need I say more? Not the best job for a family man. You need to fight for what you want and set hard boundaries right away. They will push you as far as you will go and then ask you for 1 more.

Can do what you want pretty much. No supervision.

Pay is lowest in whole country for fiber optic technicians. Hours fluctuate substantially, not very consistent. Managers don't care about you just as long as the job gets finished. No opportunity advancements, hard to get a raise, no appreciation towards the employees, long trips out of state with no travel pay or compensation, broken tools provided which made jobs very difficult. Some employees with bad attitudes and always negative to work with. Jobs change on an instant which interferes with family/life.
