Pros

Having only worked at huge companies in the past, I was surprised how many brilliant people from around the world I could talk to from day one at Specops. And whether working in sales, support, development or management, they all wanted to teach me whatever they could to help me succeed. I know that where I end up in terms of sales, growth and compensation is entirely a product of the effort I put in and how much I leverage the resources available to me. The products are easy to talk about and often far ahead of the competition, but what I like most is how fun it is to install and muck around with them myself. It gives you a lot of confidence in sales to be able to pop open an online meeting and show prospects exactly how the products work.

Cons

Having an award-winning, trusted name in the IT community doesn't always translate to becoming a household name overnight. It's usually straightforward proving to IT admins that Specops' has the best product, but translating that to a signature from decision makers, rather than some "household name" competitor, can put sales skills to the test.

Pros

The management team and the general employees were very personable and willing to help where they could.

Cons

The role I had was newly created at the time, and the expectations for what was considered “success” were unclear.

Pros

Worked in the company for several years and have enjoyed the culture, the ability to choose your own level of participation and the ability to have a flexible schedule.

Cons

Not too many places to go, every role serves a purpose and the roles don't often ascend.
