Pros
Great Benefits, pleasant campus, safe environment, Accredited programs, Faculty and Staff that care about the students. Culture of intelligent students focusing on their studies, NOT Football & partying! Love that Chess Boards are set up almost all the time in the Atrium. Fun Geek activities, like building Trebuchets & Catapults to launch Pumpkins with accuracy and distance!
Cons
The culture is about to change when KSU takes over in the merger. We will no longer be called SPSU! We are reduced to the Marietta Campus of KSU. The colors/logo/mascot & most of all, the small close-knit personalized environment will be gone. Many staff from SPSU are losing their jobs. Some Faculty are retiring early.
