Pros
Supportive Leadership: The leadership team, including our CEO and RMD, has always been approachable and supportive. They genuinely care about the well-being and professional growth of their staff. I have worked at other Anesthesia management companies and the support we receive here is unmatched. Genuine focus on wellbeing: Sound Physicians places a high value on work-life balance. As a physician, this balance is crucial, and I appreciate the flexible scheduling and support in managing my workload. Collaborative Environment: The team culture here is fantastic. My colleagues are highly professional, and we work collaboratively to provide the best care for our patients. Professional Development: There are ample opportunities for professional development. Sound Institute, which is their professional development division, provides ample opportunities for leadership development and continuous medical education. The leadership is open to new ideas and is more than willing to incorporate new evidence-based practices. One example would be the support we receive in training our staff in Point-of-care Ultrasonography and other cutting-edge practices in ERAS pathways and regional Anesthesia. Patient-Centered Care: The company’s focus on patient-centered care aligns perfectly with my professional values. It's fulfilling to work for an organization that prioritizes high-quality patient care. Our new CMO has a laser focus on quality and patient safety.
Cons
Adjustment to Collaborative Culture: It took some time to get adjusted to the highly collaborative culture between physicians and CRNAs. While the teamwork is ultimately rewarding, the initial adjustment period required patience and adaptation. System Integration: Integrating into the new systems and protocols unique to Sound Physicians also required some effort and time to get used to, but the support and training provided were very helpful.
