Pros
- Good pay - I enjoyed the work - Coworkers seemed great
Cons
- The "flexible schedule" wasn't really that flexible. Check-ins with planned work and check-outs with completed work were required every day. - So much micromanagement. The company was growing quickly, but the president still wanted a hand in everything. It was stressful to work under and created a bottleneck when there were a lot of projects. - The president has a temper, gives contradicting instructions and feedback, and often resorts to insults. - No onboarding for new hires. They're thrown into projects with little guidance. - My final straw was being talked to about my productivity (with no expectations set beforehand), agreeing to fix it, and completing a big project in a pretty short amount of time. The president went over it and wanted it completely changed (contradicting previous instructions and directions to "own" the project) by the next day, or he would terminate my contract. I had a pre-planned obligation the next day so I resigned instead.
