Pros

Clear cut processes and goals. Equal opportunity to succeed and grow your own business with sales and recruiting. Friendly teams of people and David's leadership is always upbeat and positive. Training is excellent and the tools are at our disposal to use such as great database and record keeping. In-house credential team is very good also. There is a spirit of competition, but not a spirit of greedy grabbing of other's candidates.

Cons

Most managers are really past recruiters who did well in the business and started with Soliant years ago. So, they understand the culture of the company. The downside is that while they may know recruiting, not all are the best at managing the work flow and people. I liken it to a great carpenter who may not be a great building project manager. But, they've earned their wings from the ground floor up. As the company grows, it will be interesting to see whether this model changes out of necessity toward a more professional management model.

Pros

- The pay is not bad for the most part. You get paid weekly instead of biweekly or monthly. - Good way to start your CFY if you want to dip your toes into a school setting. - I got a placement very quickly (Only a few days). - Decent benefits (401k, medical, dental, vision). - Great support from my supervisor. - Great work/life balance.

Cons

- No pay during the holidays (summer/winter break) - Some miscommunication between the school and the agency. For example, on my first day at work, I was assigned to start at the beginning of the year. When I went to the front office, nobody knew I was the new SLP. The staff and I had to scramble on what to do with me. It was quite confusing and overwhelming. - The school district does not give you full access to their system (e.g., Areies, SEIS) due to not being a direct hire.

Thank you for sharing your experience and feedback! We’re glad to hear you felt supported by your supervisor, appreciated the work/life balance, and found the placement process quick and efficient. We also appreciate your honest comments regarding communication and system access challenges. We understand how frustrating that first-day experience must have been, and we’re continuously working with our school partners to improve onboarding and coordination processes.
